Please join us as we kick off our 2018-2019 season with special guest Sam Donaldson J.D., LL.M., Professor at Georgia State University College of Law.  Professor Donaldson will provide a pertinent, engaging and fun (yes, fun!) perspective on some of the most important recent developments in the estate planning arena, particularly those resulting from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, including the famous/infamous §199A – Deduction of Qualified Business Income of Pass-Through Entities.

Professor Donaldson is a prolific writer and speaker, and a perennial favorite at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.  At Georgia State, he teaches a number of tax and estate planning courses, as well as courses in the areas of property, commercial law and professional responsibility. He is an academic fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Bar in Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. Among his scholarly works, Sam Donaldson is a co-author of the popular West casebook, Federal Income Tax: A Contemporary Approach, and a co-author of the Price on Contemporary Estate Planning treatise published by Wolters Kluwer.
