Bernard J. D'Avella, Jr. ('Bud') is an experienced attorney and mediator who has advised or led family businesses for his entire professional life. From age 12, Mr. D'Avella  worked in his father's pharmacy, which he went on to help manage in his late teen years. He relied heavily on that family business experience to become one of the most respected thought leaders in the area of family business and estate planning law, where he has focused his advisory practice for over 40 years.  In 1998, Mr. D'Avella combined his lifetime of legal and family business experience as President and Chief Operating Officer of Prudent Publishing Company, a mid-eight figure family-owned business based near his home in northern New Jersey. Bud is an author and conference speaker on topics pertaining to family business, and is a sought-after consultant and advisor to family businesses.

Dan Kerrigan has more than a decade of valuation and corporate finance experience.  As head of the firm's transaction and advisory practice, Dan oversees MPI's sell-side and buy-side M&A activities and fairness opinion services.  The advisory and valuation engagements conducted by Mr. Kerrigan have also been used to analyze potential liquidity options available to owners of middle-market companies, effect corporate restructuring, create new classes of equity, maintain compliance with Employee Stock Ownership Plans and other ERISA plans, and effect intra-family ownership transfers, among others.  He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, business services, financial institutions, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution and publishing.  Dan has appeared as an expert witness in  U.S. Tax Court and in other proceedings.  Mr. Kerrigan is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc. and MPI Securities, Inc.
